artist bio:
alan barrat
alan's mixing career has taken him all over the world, playing for clubs such as zouk (singapore), propaganda (moscow), the rub (tampa, usa) amnesia (ibiza), dace valley (holland), impulse
(holland, festival of electronic music (spain), rex club (paris), pulp (paris), southport weekender (uk) and fabric. alan and now long time friend tony thomas had been going to underground parties in london called black sheep and box energy, this is
where they first heard techno and hosue music being mixed together and it blew their minds.
the tough trippy tunes with soulful vocals instantly turned them on so in 1998 they decided to setup
their own label and form "the producers". this also led them to move location to london, where paul
davis (circualation) signed them to his "creative" label. a release on "end recordings" followed and
then paul decided it was time for an album. since them alan has moved location once again to paris
where he continues to dj for clubs such as the rex, studio 287, folie's, pulp, l'enfer and elysee
montmartre, as well as his global dates. he also releases on french labels "royal drums", and "antedrum" and his tunes are regulars on paris radio fg.
